Rauriser Natural Stone

Superior Quality for the Highest Standards.

Rauriser Natural Stone – the Marble of the Alps! In the heart of the Hohe Tauern mountain range lie the quarries of Rauriser natural stone. Quarrying takes place at an altitude of 1,800 metres at the foot of the mighty Adelkar. This alpine region features a distinctive geological formation: at the highest elevation, we quarry the rarest of our three stone varieties – the exclusive crystal marble Rauriser White; in the middle elevation, the extraordinary crystal marble Rauriser Dark Blue is extracted; and in the lower section (still situated at 1,200 metres above sea level), the indestructible quartzite Rauriser Green is quarried, renowned for its remarkable material properties.

Available in Green, Dark Blue, and White.

Quality Characteristics

Extreme Frost &
De-Icing Salt Resistance

Severe frost and freeze-thaw cycles leave no marks on Rauriser natural stone. Even de-icing salt has zero impact on our stone.

Minimal Water Absorption

As a result, our marble and quartzite resist staining, remain easy to maintain, and are ideally suited for wet areas and poolside applications.

Made in Austria

As a cornerstone of our philosophy, Rauriser natural stone has been quarried sustainably in the Hohe Tauern since the very beginning.

Exceptional Material Density

The material density of Rauriser natural stone is at least 2,720 kg/m³.

Flexural Tensile Strength

Rauriser marble and quartzite provide outstanding load-bearing capacity for vehicular areas. The slabs are resilient and never brittle.

Weather Resistance

Tested using the buoyancy flotation method. For centuries, natural stone of this caliber has been used in external church architecture. Even after decades of exposure to the elements, it retains its original beauty.
